Let's go back to Jewish Bleachness.
 I got quite the big positive responce to my "Happy passover" pic [link] and someone had made mention that Ukitake HAD to be one of the Jewish cast. Thinking about it, she was right- he's the smothering "survivor" father stereotype! Later at AnimeNorth,  's sister (who LOVES Hitsy) made mention how Yamaka's are the cutest things ever, and that I HAD to draw little Hitsy in a Yamaka. And of course, this comic was immediatly inspired.For those who don't know- in a Bar/Bat Mitzva, the Bar/Bat mitzvaee has to sing the passage of the Torah that relates to their birthdate. After they finish, the entire crowed (especially parents and close fmialy) throw candey on them. Here, you KNOW Ukitake is just WAITING to shower lil' Hitsy wiht a SACK full of sweets. And Hitsy knows this. And he refuses to finish the passage. Urahara is just SOO fitting as The Rabbi. Scientist, businessman, and Rabbi. Is there anything he CAN'T do?  |
