Yes, another cheesy title.
Bite me. :giggle:

Anyhow, I was recently bitten by the FF7 bug… in fact, by “recent” I mean about a month ago.
So needless to say, it’s time for FF7 fanartage! Yaaaaayyy!! :boogie:

This is one of those “means a lot to me” kind of pics. Like with every pic, I like doing something that has a “story” to it. I have always seen Seph and Cloud’s relationship as being that of the Older brother - Younger brother one. And while I have an entire background and philosophy which can be analyzed, I’ll spare you people here and now, and just post the pic.

This one is a nice, Pre-Jenova day one. For some reason, the General always tended to keep a certain foot-soldier close at hand. Why? No one knew. He wasn’t a stunningly gifted solider- and a little bit on the “bottom of the food chain” wise at times. Only the General new why. And no one bothered to object.

I decided to put the Chocobos in as the Calvary “horses”. It seemed fitting as they themselves are iconic to the FF series. So I took a stab and made them “real”. I also had to keep in mind that Seph’s Chocobo (and Cloud’s) were to be somewhat “resembling” of their riders. So obviously colors were matched to the characters, and coincidentally, black Chocobo’s are the only ones who can FLY as well... making it even BETTER since the General would have the top-notch “horse”. I even took the time to design a special saddle and reins for the General, leaving the Chocobo capable of using it’s wings, unlike Cloud’s who obviously does not.

... I always imagined the scenario of “Chocobo picking” would go something like:

*Seph walks into the stable. Cloud bursts in. Looks around and eyes grow wide.*
Cloud: “Oooooo.. I want this one!” *hugs noble looking Chocobo*
Seph: “That one belongs to the General...”
Cloud: …
Seph: “That means it’s... mine..”
Cloud: “Oh. Right. Yours.”
Seph: “Yours is over there.”
*cut to scene of smaller, yellow, gooky looking Chocobo. It head-tilts and squwacks*
Cloud: “Right… mine…”
*Crunch*
Cloud: “OWE! IT BIT ME!!! AAAAAHHHHH!!!”
*Flee*
Seph: …

I love those two. XD

Oh, yeah! My princess is into the FFVII thing!! yay, yay!! :boogie:
I love the detail and everything. Yay for Sephiroth, my favourite one, followed by Vincent Valentine.
In my opinion, the best Final Fantasy. That's the reason to have many games, one OAV, the Advent Children Movie and special appeareances in another games as Kingdom hearts.

Woah thats simply stuning! I love the details on the chocobos as well as on seph and cloud.
And how they DO resembel their riders in some slight way. You have mad shading skills too! and very soft, but still rough enough to be understandable ( not like mine, when i do pencil work its too light and soft to be understandable )

If you have a theory i would love to hear (read XD ) it! Im a sucker for things like that! very good this deserves a :+favlove:

wow wow wee yah, i never know this will be coming form u, it's like 'BANG!' hitted me, first time i saw u did a FF7 art work, and i hope it won't be the last, very nice and fine shading (wow) and nice job resembling the chocobos, pitty we don't see them in FF7 movie or KH. two thumbs up form me, hey we should have another collab race someday, this time lets use chocobo instead, that will be so cool.
