Another breather image tonight.
I'm at the halfway point of my film, so I'm happy. So far, very satisfied with what's going on. And so, I decided to draw out a couple more of my fav X-men... well, I admit, these two got more of my love after X1 and X2. Aaron and Shawn had really good chemistry between them, and I would LOVE doing more of a back story to both the characters- specifically Pyro. Either way, this idea came about talking to someone at the NCC (Native Canadain Center... where I work), fans of the classic comic genre and the movies, and we started talking archetypes and parallels. And we brought up the most common of these two: Fire and Ice. And how nearly every culture has a play on two opposing characters that fit the bill of "fire" and "ice/water". So we got to talking, one thing led to another, and we brought up the story of Coyote Who Brought Fire, and Coyote Who Brought Ice [Winter]. Not much needed to be said other than "Uh-oh. You gonna have to do it now!" and so it was done. I drew the SFX layer separately- as traditionally done- from the Animation/sketch layer. I integrated the both of them for the general over-all effect you are supposed to get. And yes, Pyro is in an X-men suit. Becuase I thought it would be fierce-sexy to see him in one. SO THERE. XD Will scrap in about a week. |
