I've been a Hetalia fan for quite some time now. And recently, I had broken my "no more fanart" rule to draw a bunch of sketches for that series. I chose the best 2 to polish into finished pieces... and here is one of them.
By far my fav pairing- Sweden and Finland! Oh Sweden... how can I not love a big burly man that speaks in grunts? And that loves his "wifey"? Even to the point that he'll "try harder" to have kids with him. XDDDDD
So, I had to ref some traditional Finnish and Swedish clothing... I didn't want them in their uniforms, something a little more cozy and casual... and you all KNOW how I have a thing for vests... so when I saw both countries had that as a traditional dress, I knew I HAD to put them in that!
Little Cheesy Poem is Cheesy. I am aware of that. SHUT UP I"M A CHEESY HELPLESS ROMANTIC!
P.S. Yes, Berwald's glasses are falling off his face... he's asleep, and it's cute! XD
Oh and one last thing.. I love how Berwald's full name (Berwald Oxenstierna) contain the words that sounds like "Bear", "Oxen" and "Stern". I know these are NOT the way to say those things in Swedish, but still... so fitting. XD Oh, and Finland's "Tino" sounds like "Tiny". Excuse me while I go in the corner and go fangirl crazy.
Oh, and the image is pretty big, I wanted to have it wall-paper size, but I don't know what's the most commonly used, so I just left it big. Fit it yourself.
Ok I've heard about this comic all over dA. Can someone please either direct me to a link of it or tell me what its about T~T I understand that its about the different world nations as people, right? Gahhhh, I feel like I'm in the dark. But the pic is nice. Their pose seems very quiet and relaxed. Berwald looks so cuddly while hugging his "wifey"

Across the globe, 27 million men, women, and children live in some form of slavery. That is more people at this moment than in all the centuries of the Atlantic Slave Trade. Something must be done. This contest serves two purposes: Raising awareness about human trafficking and raising funds for the Not For Sale organization.
Open to all mediums. Deadline is March 10, 2010 @ 11:59pm PST.
