This image’s original intended purpose was to do a very nice big piece for one of my Professors at college. I am compelled to try and “wow” him every week with our assignments.
Why?
Because he’s really good, and I want his respect. XD

So I figured; I don’t know if topic so much as execution is what impresses him. I want to do something that I would be passionate about so that it would be done well with all my gusto.
Fanart it is. ;)

Well, it’s not to say that I don’t have gusto about my personal projects, but I just don’t go showing that stuff around because I want it developed, and so I can only show a handful of people. Copyright issues. XD

Anyhow, one of my fav OTPs of Bleach. While I’m aware that the “rules of anime” is that if you absolutely hate someone as an opponent/rival, that automatically means you are madly in love with them- and I just kinda don’t buy that. So I can’t picture Nell with Nnoit no matter how much it’s worth.
On the other hand, “Mr. Feeties and the Capricorn” make total sense in my head when drawing upon the mythological symbols/archetypes and stories. So, I’ll go with what works for me. :heart:

So this picture depicts the both of them on a nightly stroll in Hueco Mundo. And I love how Grimmjow’s tail is just casually inching it’s way over to Nell’s body. In a few moments, they’ll be “holding tails”.
Damn, I guess I should draw that too. :heart:

You know, maybe I should have named this “Mr. Feeties and the Capricon” instead of “Lover’s Stroll”. :giggle:

Neat! Grimmjow looks great, and I'm really impressed with both of their fur and hair. I really like the level of detail in the background, too. A lot of effort went into this piece, and it shows.

Nel's face looks slightly off to me, though-- I think her right eye (our left) is slanted a bit off kilter, and her mask isn't centered with the center line of her face. I'd have to flip the image to be sure, though.

Overall, really nice job! I bet your prof will be wow'd. : )

I ship crack pairings because I don't have to deal with the fail of canon relationships, especially when they turn out to be shit romance subplots :smoking:

This may be one of the most incredible pictures I have ever seen in my time on DA.

It's not just the pairing (though that does help) it's the sheer level of effort that it looks like you put into this!

I wouldn't think she is a Vicuna only becuase she is declared a "Capricorn" in the series... and Vicuna don't have horns. That, and Goats have played a serious role in Aztec myth, including one story where a Monkey tricks a Jaguar into saving a Goat... only later to have the Jaguar willingly marry the Goat as well. :heart:

BTW, how do you properly announciate "Vicuna"? I keep syaing it with a bad Western accent. XD
