Commission for :icontoowiley:

He requested Raven Stealing the Sun, done in the "3D" style of traditional North West Pacific art.
"Raven Stealing the Sun" is a very important creation myth to some of the NWP coast Natives. In this story, it is explained how Raven steals the sun from an Old man by impregnating the Old man's daughter with himself, and stealing it one day as the Old man was playing "catch" with his Grandson [Raven in Disguise].

I love how easily I get some of these images done. Especially the ones that seem to want to get done on their own. I almost feel as if I am putting no effort in the work, but just tracing lines that are "there".

Once again, this image isn't to be redistributed or copied in any way. I have said, and re-said the importance of not taking what doesn't belong to you, and I say it again for anyone who might have not stumbled upon my previous work.

God I love these Drawings, I have a request if you take them? Perhaps a Horse? There are some intresting native american tales about the 'god-dogs'

I like parties, but I don't like pinatas. Becaus the pinata promotes violence against flamboyant animals.

I've heard that legend. He went into the daughter's body by turning into a pine needle and being drank by her.

That children's book is based of the Legend. There are many Native stories that are presented in children's storybooks as means to teach children about their culture, or others. :)

Bear Mother Story is also a favorite of mine! But admittedly, nearly all the Mouse Woman stories are my favorites. :giggle:
There is also one other being whom I greatly adore.. but I honestly fear not to illustrate the stories of him, or his image. I don't feel I have the permission to do so.

If you liked storm boy, then maybe you will love Frog Girl (I LOVED Frog Girl).
