Commission for a friend.

Depicting here a Swan and a Turkey.
I really was happy with this one- the inlay of the turkey in the swan went well, all the while keeping the shades and tones actual to the bird.
I was very proud of myself. :giggle:

Proud? And rightly so. This is very good. I like it a lot.

Interesting indeed! Is there a folkloric legend behind this pair of fowl?

No, it was just a commission for a friend. :)

This designs of yours are quite intersting. Its took me a while to see both bird sin the circle. Like a crest.

Well, it is exactly just that! A crest!

very nice, i love the white on black and the roundness and the square frame.

Is that a mute swan? those things are bullies and have killed most of the native swans over here and pick on all the other native birds :shakefist:

I will be drawing a trumpeter swan soon.

Actually, it's a Tundra Swan- the bulge on the beak DOES make it look more like a Mute swan though. Without the bulge, more people thought it was a goose then a swan, so I had to go with it. :)

Yay! I would love to see you do a Trumpeter! XD
