It's all Bananas and Dancing with Toothbrushes for them.
Here he is! Monkey boy.
Even though I tease him NON stop, I love him. Best "middlechild" to the Kuchiki family. The cherished pet and beloved feral boy.
And in consideraiton to , who said somethign wise- I think the Crown of the Baboon King is held by BOTH Renji and Zabimaru. They are a TEAM. Renji controls and makes Zabi stronger, and Zabi manifests into the physicle entity to give Renji his power.
A little note about the content:
While Zabimaru should be a Japanese Makak, the Hamadryas Babon is similar in resemblance however doen'st live ANYWEHRE near Japan (Hamadryas live in the region of Egypt and the Savannahs). And MY personal fav Baboons of ALL time are the Olive (Anubis), Chacma (Ursinus), and Mandrill. So I took liberties when Designing Zabimaru with a hint of them all- after all, as the top primate of the bunch, having a bit of eveyrone is amythological expected.
The two olives under were just a fun additive on my behalf to give the picture a more "in the jungle" feel.
I'm sure Renji spent many a-day tree swingin' and crap flinging. Byakuya avoids those days without objection.
I've never seen Bleach, but you make me picture this guy doing the Tarzan thing

I'll never look at Renji the same way again. XD;;
Do you research all your subjects before drawing them? It's just amazing to me that you even knew the exact species of Renji's partner blade. x_X I just look and think: monkey. I wouldn't even know how to begin researching the name of it based on just looks.

Well actually no. I have taken mamy a courses in animal biology and zoology as my breadth alternatives and when I was in highschool I did university courses for extras credits. I love animals obsessivly! SO when I see one-even in a comic- I know what they are talking about.
Mind you, in the actuall busness of animaiton (and illustraiton), research is VITAL to whatever you are doing- be it layout, charcater design, scripting or storyboarding. For me, I got an upperhand becuase my love for animals and MOUNDS of refrence material is a backdrop to drawing an image. Bets images are the ones that are reffed. People who go around saying "I drew it from my head" thnk they are doing something amazing when in fact it's very ameture. Until today I always have a model sheet (or figure) of ANY charcater I draw right beside me. As great as I know how it looks in my head, and I might be able to DRAW it form my minds eye, the refrence ALWAYS needs to be there.
WOW I just rambled. Porbably becuase you were one of the first 2 comments that actuaslly had CONTENT.

Across the globe, 27 million men, women, and children live in some form of slavery. That is more people at this moment than in all the centuries of the Atlantic Slave Trade. Something must be done. This contest serves two purposes: Raising awareness about human trafficking and raising funds for the Not For Sale organization.
