Description
I recently applied for a Theater Design Position at a local Theater Company that deals specifically with Aboriginal contents. While they are not looking to hire now, I decided to try my luck anyhow.
The Portfolio is called “Evolution” and deals with the transformation of the Oral traditions into Contemporary Theater- passing via the written word [script] and Visual Arts (Costume, Set, Etc).
Seen here, the Third set of concepts- and the final quick rendition of how it is to be presented, and looks on stage.
It was to be expected that I would include something NWP in my portfolio. And I decided to add 2 concepts- one for 2 particularly specific and different concepts.
As with the Aztecs design, the existing regalia for the NWP aboriginal peoples are very accommodating to movement- since they were used in dancing as well. However the visibility of the masks could sometimes be questioned, I kept mine "forehead oriented" so that actors could have full visibility.
Wolf looks very confused.

Your designs are always lovely. I like the glove. And the masks are really nice. Great work! ^^
