Wasgo is a Haida Sea monster. Resembling a giant wolf, with a long orca-like body with 3 dorsal fins, and Fins coming out of it’s flocks (it had legs and all).
While some stories depict it as terrorizing Haida villages, there are stories otherwise as well. One was such that a man found 2 Wasco pups and mistook them for wolf pups. Seeing that the mother was nowhere and the pups howling and starving, he assumed she had been killed. He took the pups to his village and raised them. When they were full-grown, like Wolves, they were loyal to their pack and would go hunting for Orcas for their village. Each would return with 3 Orcas. A traditional depiction of Wasgo would be that of Wasgo with one Orcas in its mouth, one in its tail and one in its paws.
