Wow.
That's the only word I can use to describe it.
This last month- well, ever since after reading week- we were hashing, and rehashing our story for our group films. Apparently, our original idea had a lot of plot holes in it, and frankly it was too long and didn't work. Our boarding teacher ripped it apart, and so we spend 2-3 weeks in a vortex of boards, ideas and whatnot to nail this idea down. We even had a few tensing moments, but thank god all of us pulled through, and last week the lead of the group decided that "Too many cooks spoil the broth" and designating himself and I as the story makers and board artists.
And guess what? Over the course of 4 intense days, we did it. We saved ass. Which was a relief because mid way through the chaos our board teacher changed his mind about the quality of our original story and said it was fine with a few minor editing points. We all were like WTF!?!?! No one had any motivation to work on the original story anymore so we stuck to what we were developing.
Yesterday, after the grueling weekend of no sleep and all boards, we showed the lieca reel to him. It was fine. In fact, some points even were funny! As we played the reel for him in the lab, we actually had a crowd of junior students and collogues gather round to see it as well. I can't tell you the golden moment of how THAT felt!
We saved ass.
End of story! *pa-chaaaahhh!!!*
So now, it's onto the design pack, and final assignments and we are out for the winter.
We literally have something due every day next week. And our exam. Yarg, our final exam… I would do ANYTHING to get out of THAT exam! *conniptions*
Good god, I might actually survive this term! XD
Con-no-baka
Con-no-baka was a resounding failure.
Perhaps some of you heard from others on-line, and if you haven't let me be the first:
Con-no-baka's attendance was low. VERY low. To the point that the 3rd day of the convention was cancelled totally.
Apparently, the attendance fees didn't cover the renting fees and so the hotel closed them down. Factually? My sis brought up a good point that it was probably a pay-as-you-go deal… because if they put the money a head of time the hotel wouldn't care how many people attended- they got their money. So we figure that because it was a pay-as-you-go thing, they didn't get their doe and then it was cancelled.
Can't say that I didn't have fun though! Even though I was still hoarse from getting' over my virus (oh yah, did I mention I was sick for like 3 weeks?) and all that, I still met a lot of great people, some very charming too! Even divulged some animation philosophy and have numerous lovely conversations with a few fellows. My friend slept over, I meat *kaotic_sanity* as well and she is just the sweetest thing ALIVE! *glompage to her*
We had fun all I all.
However, our sales were WAY low- we broke even and then some- but a lot lower than in Animenorth.
Pity too… 'cuase I would definitely say that we could have used a regular winter convention but this will definitely never happen again due to the poor circumstances.
At least my sisn't also picked me up a plush of Shigure!!! Dog form too! So now I have his human form AND the dog form!

Arts, Crafts and stuff
Many of you guys have also noticed that in the last while I haven't been updating lots of stuff… that is due to the obvious college craze and whatnot, but just lettin' everyone know that I HAVE updated! Both my crafts account and my art!
So don't forget to check there from time to time!
And that is all from me folks! I hope that I'll be able to update more this coming month… I'm out on Dec. 16th, so here's for prayin'! XD
P.S. Nothing like biting into your nail and tasting the hand cream that was snug under it to give you a nice wake-up sputter! Hechhhhh! I need something to drink! @-@
