It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang.

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.
And this is becoming a growing problem, I think, because n

WOOO-WEE!

Talk about gettin' back in to the swing of things!
Boy is college demanding, but I can't complain. Way too much fun. New friends, new projects, great laughs, good times.

And, I must say that quite the bit has happened around here! First, I got a hawk wing and had the pleasure of stripping it for the feathers and the bones. Makin' prints for the friends, and takin' on some new challenges in illustration.
Glad to report that inspiraiton is running high, and my new practice of anime drawing is helping out my human anatomy... but don't you fret, I'm stickin' with my "Disney" style, thank you very much!

I'll keep you people posted on a weekly basis... or at least I hope to. I'm tryin' to get more in to writting so that I can practice those skills, so I'm applyin' them as much as I can pretty much everywhere!
